I spent 41 days traveling through Central America from north to south.  I was in each country for about one week with the exception of Honduras which I only spent one night.  The biggest surprise was El Salvador.  It is a really nice country with some good tourist attractions. Costa Rica has long been a tourist destination and the country is the jewel of Central America.

I entered Columbia from the sea in Cartagena and had no idea what to expect. What I expected to be about a week in the country turned into 17 days and even that was not near enough. This is one of my favorite countries in which I have traveled.

Ecuador is a small country but very diverse. Once I arrived in Quito I parked my bike for a week and flew to the Galapagos Islands. It was a great decision. It is one of the most amazing places I’ve seen so far on this planet.
