Ecuador is a small country but very diverse. Once I arrived in Quito I parked my bike for a week and flew to the Galapagos Islands. It was a great decision. It is one of the most amazing places I’ve seen so far on this planet.

I spent 3 weeks in Peru. Sand, wind, and garbage in the North are etched in my mind forever. Then there is the Amazon in the east which is very remote and primitive. And in the south there are extremely high mountain plateaus and of course Machu Picchu. It is truly an amazing country.

I only spent 7 days in Bolivia which is probably due to the fact that I did not like it much. Having said that, Uyuni, in the south is one of the most amazing places on this planet. It is worth the trip to Bolivia just to experience it.
